Celebrity chef Antonio Carluccio is offering special hampers full of Italian food and drink - a treat for lovers on St Valentine's Day
Italian, they say, is the language of love. So if you’re in the UK and looking for a way to make Valentine’s Day special, it might be worth ordering a prepared succosa tentazione (tasty temptation) hamper from the Italian chef Antonio Carluccio.
It’s a complete gourmet meal to take-out, and will be available to collect from all Carluccio’s outlets on Valentine’s Day. The hamper includes a choice of antipasto pugliese, genuine antipasti from Puglia or cappelli di prataiolio farciti, delicious stuffed field mushrooms along with an assortment of freshly baked bread. For main course there’s costoline d’agnello ripiene, juicy lamb cutlets stuffed with fontina cheese and parma ham accompanied by tasty pepperoni fritti, fried peppers; or ravioli di zucca, delicate heart shaped pumpkin and amaretti ravioli. There’s even a crisp mixed salad complete with heart shaped croutons.
In true decadent fashion, desserts feature rich chocolate meringues served with whipped cream and seasonal fruit as well as the ultimate in sinful and seductive chocolate bars, il peccato made with 75% pure cocoa.
